Leak Rate Adjustments

Leak Rate Adjustment Information

Customers who experience a water leak may be eligible for an adjustment on their bill.

Customers must repair leak prior to submitting form and documentation. Repair must be done within 30 days of receiving the bill that reflects the leakage amount or 30 days from the time they were notified of a possible leak. Once repaired contact us at 360-871-0500 to send a service technician out to verify and document that leak has been repaired. Leak Adjustment requests must be submitted to Manchester Water District within 60 days of discovering the leak.

Please note: A leak rate adjustment may only be issued once every 3-years for the property regardless of:

  • Multiple leaks occurring during that period from different parts of the customer's system
  • The property is owned or occupied by different persons during that time

Additional leak adjustment requests within 3-years of a previously approved adjustments will not be approved by the General manager and the denial cannot be appealed to the Board of Commissioners.

*A customer may appeal any portion of this policy (with exception to the 3-year timeframe) directly to the Board of Commissioners. For more information please click here to view Manchester Water District Resolution 06-24
